Just as marriage is something that would require the consent of the state before it could happen, the dissolution of a marriage could not push through just because the spouses have made an agreement to divorce. Marriage is something that would affect the whole world, thus, it stands to reason that any and all events that could lead to the dissolution of the marriage would also affect the whole world. This is one of the reasons why divorce records like [http://sjzdmscps.com/comment/html/?186358.html Gilchrist County Divorce Records] are very important; though note that this is not the only use of the records in question as there are other proceedings where the presentation of such records may be required.

Divorce is a judicial proceeding, and as such, it is a proceeding that involves the state, thus, the requirement for the records. When a divorce is granted, the previous benefits and limitations granted by the marriage to the couple are withdrawn. In effect, the former couple returns to their status before they were married and they regain their capacity to remarry. This is binding upon the whole world, hence the need for the records.

Of course, one must remember that divorce records, or at least the complete records of the same, are not public records in the sense that they could be requested by just about anyone. There are some items in the records that may be considered to be private, hence, only those who are parties to the divorce and their close relatives could make the request for the complete record, though this does not mean that the general public is deprived from making the request, because they could request, not for the records themselves, but for the certification of the record. This certification is often enough to prove, prima facie, that the divorce had happened.

Copies of divorce records are available at the state level through the Florida Department of Health, and the procedure to make the request is requesting through mail. This means that the person who desires the record would first have to write a request letter detailing the names of the parties to the divorce, the approximate date that the divorce had been granted, and the place where the divorce had been granted. Naturally, the personal contact information of the person making the request should be included in the letter as well as the required fee which is five dollars, plus an additional two dollars for every additional year that the department would be asked to search. The price would include one certified copy of the certification stating the records exist should the department be able to find the record in question.

Gilchrist County Divorce Decrees may also be found online through the use of online databases. These are internet-based databases which mean that they are not only faster and more efficient to use, they are also easy to find and use. They provide substantially the same information as the official sources, but because they are not official sources, the information that they provide could not be used for official purposes.
