It's what I've usually loved and the only thing I ever wished to do. There are a large number of extremely skilled people out there that hardly ever get a chance showing what they are able to do. I am lucky. Not only do I reach do what I love, I get to talk about it with people all over the world. I've been provided a tremendous present and I thank God for it each day."Jim Shore grew up in rural South Carolina, jim drew motivation from these roots. Appliques and folk landscapes found in the early days of our nation. These were masterpieces which were designed not for commission, but because the performers were powered to create. But his interest was always his artwork, and after several fake starts founded his own company, Styles Americana, to advertise his sculpture. "We visited a show with some of my sculptures and planned to produce them if we received more than enough orders, "we didn't have a factory, didn't really know what we were going to do. Luckily, we made the proper contacts at the show and it all worked out. In fact the demands of controlling Styles Americana made it problematic for Jim to concentrate on his art. "I had a need to focus specifically on the creative and artistic part of my work, and that meant finding the right business partner to concentrate on the three piece suit side of the business enterprise. an internationally leader in marketing presents, collectibles and decorative add-ons.

While dealing with Enesco Jim perfected his unique design, combining elements of folk art and a vibrant color pallet applied to traditional themes. To Jim, a Santa Claus isn't just a Santa Claus, it's a canvas to become painted. Taking styles from quilting, rosemalling, applique and toned perspective folk art, Jim creates an intricate and colorful work of art that displays our shared cultural heritage yet is unmistakably Jim Shore. "I can't imagine myself ever tiring of this," Jim says of distinctive combination of themes and motifs, "I reach create two designs each time I develop a new piece - what the item will be and what colors and patterns will continue it. The variety keeps me motivated."The magic of Jim's design style is that it could be applied to a huge variety of themes and formats, creating a charming and innovative American country décor statement for the home. "My work isn't a single statement, but a lot of elements combined together. I take advantage of colors that I really like - colonial, antiques, jewel tones and some unusual colours that I loved right now. Put collectively it's a satisfaction to look at. It doesn't really matter what item it's on. Frequently these prototypes are revised several times until they are just right, down to the final fine detail and Jim Shore texture. Jim's focus on fine detail and involvement in the complete process ensure items with the appearance and feel of real wood and have a quality and level of detail that's unique in the market.
