These grapes are now grown throughout the world, and mostly in Argentina. These grapes are usually dark purple in colour and has a rich fruity flavour to it and have earned the reputation as one of the six varietal of grapes preferred for making red wines.Wines made from the malbec grapes are high in acidity and tannin levels. The colour of these wines are dark inky purple and the taste ranges from ripe fruit flavor of plums, black cherry and blackberry, which gives us option for a wide range of food pairings.

Malbec Grapes were first brought to Argentina by a spanish priest Juan Cedrón in 1556, Since then malbec have found a new home for winemaking. High hills of Mendoza in argentina are considered as heaven for growing malbec. The Arid-Clean Air, Crystal-Clear Water, and Nutrient-Rich Soil of Mendoza are best suited for the cultivation of malbec grapes.Organic Vineyards of MendozaThe cool climate and nutrient rich soil of mendoza have attracted many wine makers to set up organic vineyards in this region. Organic Vineyards are the one which produces wines with less machineries involved. These organic vineyards usually follow traditional winemaking process like Listening Growing Harvesting Crushing Fermenting Aging These traditional techniques are not without negative sides, For example. the nutrient rich soil used for growing vines attracts many micro organisms which are not good for the grapes. Once these soil turn out into breeding grounds for various pests the quality of the vine is degraded either by the pest affecting the plants directly or simply due to less or no nutrients left over by the biotic in the soil.To tackle this problem, wine makers came up with a new technique where the vines are planted in a neutral soil like alluvium where unwanted breeding of biotic are completely eliminated. These alluvial soil are then optimized for the growth of vines by adding the nutrients needed for grapes alone while ignoring the excess nutrients that help the breeding of pests.

The other basic thing needed for the vines is 'water'. Every vineyards needs to follow a proper irrigation methods to provide sufficient water to the growing grapes. Flood and Dip irrigation are two of the irrigation methods where the water is provided to the vines according to the needs.These process is later followed by pruning, harvesting, crushing, fermentation and Aging and finally the aged wines are bottled to travel throughout the country and around the world.
