Try to look at each new day as being better than the previous one. Aim for frequent and continuous improvement. Whatever you did yesterday, do it that much better today.

When you accept that you are but a tiny speck in the scope of our universe, you can begin to realize that there is much to learn if you hope to advance. Once you absorb this fact, you will have a desire for further knowledge and understanding.

Personal development begins with becoming a leader. In this context, consider your sphere of influence to be where your leadership skills are applied. Compose a pep talk for yourself. List the things that you love about yourself on a postcard. Keep this card with you, and read through it when you feel your confidence flagging. Even better, you should videotape yourself, reading the list into the camera and watch this video frequently. Why should you do this?

No matter what another person's position in life may be, remember to always treat them with respect. How they are treated speaks more of you than them.

If you are falling short of your goals, take a moment to step back and determine where you have gone wrong. Look for stories of other people who have successfully achieved goals similar to your own, then compare your approaches. You may find the problem to be that you are aiming for impossible goals and not using your resources sufficiently to accomplish your goals properly.
